About The Position

The MRO Functional SME will join an existing program team as a functional solutions expert for MRO-Supply. The role requires MRO supply systems and ERP implementation expertise, including experience with legacy Air Force working capital fund systems D035J/FIABS, SMAS, and GAFS-BQ/BL. The position supports the Air Force working capital fund and its trading partners, delivering working software through each iteration and contributing to continuous improvement.

The SME will help groom the program backlog by defining when work items are ready for a sprint. The role also adapts functional designs into test-planning materials, executes testing through release completion, and supports production deployment by addressing issues identified by the client.

Requirements

• US citizenship.
• Current DoD security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree; equivalent years of related experience may be considered as a substitute.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Recognized MRO Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Expertise working with ERP systems.
• Experience with test planning and test execution.
• Expertise with MRO functional design.
• Experience working with legacy Air Force working capital fund systems: D035J/FIABS, SMAS, and GAFS-BQ/BL.
• Demonstrated ability to assess customer needs and translate them into actionable business solutions.
• Ability to analyze information, troubleshoot issues, and provide resolutions.
• Ability to lead discussions, communicate effectively, and collaborate across teams.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact successfully with a blended government and contractor team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Functional SME for MRO-Supply.
• Determine the Definition of Ready for work items to be slotted into a sprint and assist with program backlog grooming.
• Deliver working software in every iteration, including configuration and development.
• Support the Air Force working capital fund with exposure to ERP.
• Interact with Air Force working capital fund trading partners.
• Adapt functional design to create test-planning materials, including test conditions and test scripts.
• Perform test execution through release completion and support production deployment for issues identified by the client.
• Implement best practices to drive continuous improvements.
