About The Position

The MRO Buyer will maintain close coordination with Suppliers, Production Planning, Warehouse, R&D and Sales/Marketing to ensure adequate quantities of raw materials are available to meet the production schedule while maintaining the lowest possible cost and inventories. This role will aggressively execute OE cost reductions by soliciting improvements to packaging materials and seek improvement of cash flow through negotiating terms of payment. The MRO Buyer will stay informed of all price changes, market conditions, availability, and lead times of materials that affect prices and provide useful information for short-term and long-term forecasting. This role will also negotiate and set up purchase agreements for the purchase and delivery of office supplies, and continually improve supply chain efficiency through the APS program, SMI, and E-commerce. The MRO Buyer will ensure that all purchasing activities are carried out efficiently and in a manner consistent with the "Ruiz Way", and maintain thorough knowledge of materials required by RFP. Fostering good working relationships with other departments, personnel, and the supplier community is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 5 years purchasing experience with background in Inventory Management, Warehousing, Manufacturing, and food proceeding.
  • Proficient at Microsoft Word and Excel (MUST PASS EXCEL TEST).
  • Accurate typing.
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills.
  • Excellent math and analytical skills.
  • Ability to function in a highly paced environment and with others.
