About The Position

Work in a team-oriented environment to manage the procurement of maintenance, repair and operational (MRO) products and services used by the Kenworth Division and PACCAR Corporate. PACCAR MRO Buyers are change agents, focused on delivering the highest value to internal/external customers at the lowest total cost.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of purchasing, engineering, operations, or related business experience
  • Experience with Production or MRO purchasing, manufacturing, and/or supply chain management
  • Proven negotiation and strong analytical skills
  • Creative, quality, and results-driven work ethic
  • Team Player that is self-motivated and able to work under limited supervision while maintaining a professional manner in appearance and communication at all times.
  • Demonstrated leadership to accomplish company goals
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, & presentation
  • PC skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to develop Return on Investment Analysis

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the timely preparation and issuance of purchase order for MRO Products and services for all Kenworth Division departments.
  • Route and distribute Purchase Orders for additional approval in accordance with established authority matrices.
  • Manage all aspects of Kenworth Divisions relationships with suppliers of MRO products and services, including the commercial and contractual requirements with respect to total cost, quality, delivery and customer service.
  • Support locating sources of supply, obtaining quotations and bids and purchases assigned items in accordance with price, quality and schedule standards.
  • Identify areas of opportunity to consolidate and streamline purchasing related activities being conducted at other PACCAR locations divisions.
  • Develop, negotiate and implement strategies resulting in reduced product or service cost, improved supply chain performance and enhanced product and service quality.
  • Work with Commodity Managers on all aspects of MRO Products and services including the commercial and contractual requirements
  • Maintain supplier database and coordinate supplier communications
  • Issue change orders on product price, specification, quantity, etc. within established limits of authority.
  • Coordinate MRO activities with Administrative, Sales/Marketing, Engineering and other departments as necessary
  • Monitor receipt of desired product quality and quantity, report deficiencies and implement corrective action as necessary.
  • Support Accounting or requestors in resolving invoice discrepancies
  • Responsible for preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting statements/schedules related to MRO activities.
  • Utilize Business Intelligence tools to generate analysis and reporting for MRO trends.
  • Prepare and presenting findings to management
  • Special projects as assigned.
