Requirements

  • Prior MRI scanning experience.
  • MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications.
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills.
  • ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
  • Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Assist patients with mobility difficulties.
  • Some inpatient locations may require employee’s to participate in a call schedule/rotation.
  • Push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
  • Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
  • Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
  • Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
  • Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
  • Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.
  • Administer intravenous contrast.
  • Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.
  • Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
  • Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
  • Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
  • Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
  • Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
  • Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
