About The Position

Health Images at Northfield is looking for a full-time MRI Technologist to join our team! This position involves performing MRI procedures according to protocol and age-specific needs, including patient preparation. The role requires maintaining and monitoring the patient environment, adhering to safety procedures, and contributing to the security and maintenance of the unit. The schedule is rotational, offering bi-weekly 7-day stretches off, supporting a strong work-life balance. The company is open to candidates with experience as an MRI Technologist, MRI/XR Technologist, or MRI/CT/XR Technologist.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
Current CPR certification
Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
Strong communication skills & professional demeanor

Nice To Haves

Two plus years’ experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Responsibilities

Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
Transfers images to other locations as needed.
Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
Other duties as assigned.
