Requirements

  • Graduate of a JRCERT, JRCMNT, or JRCDMS approved program is required.
  • Primary credential through ARDMS, ARRT, ARMRIT or NMTCB is required.
  • Advanced Certification through ARMRIT or ARRT(MR) is required within 18 months of hire.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) is required within 90 days of hire date.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year clinical experience is preferred.
  • Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year of current clinical experience.
  • 2-4 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare related field is preferred.
  • MRI specific training will occur in department however credits required to take MRI Advanced Certification exam are the responsibility of the employee.
  • Completes Level II MR Safety training.

Responsibilities

  • Performs MRI studies under the direction of a radiologist.
  • Interacts with imaging staff, nursing, physicians, patients and visitors.
  • Acts as a resource person for technical and safety related needs.
  • Demonstrates competence according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols.
  • Operates and prepares MRI scanner and MRI specific equipment, maintains images and archives associated with patient data.
