About The Position

This is a full-time position in the Cardiac Cath lab at Froedtert Hospital. The role involves working with providers on all Cardiac cases involving the heart, including but not limited to: R/LHC, PCI,s EMBX, CTO /CHIP procedures, ASD / PFO procedures, and structural heart procedures (TAVRS / Mitral Clips, TMVRS). The technologist will also be cross-trained to Electrophysiology procedures. Key aspects of the role include the ability to wear lead, work effectively as a team, display professional behavior in a high-stress environment, and maintain flexibility in a patient-centric setting where patient care is the top priority. Call rotation for weekdays, weekends, and holidays is required.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist program or two years of field experience as an allied Health professional such as CVT, Radiology Tech, Anesthesia Tech or Paramedic is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within three months of hire.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within nine months of hire.
• Must be able to wear lead.
• Must be able to work as a team.
• Must display professional behavior in a sometimes-stressful environment.
• Must be flexible in a patient centric environment.
• Call is required during the week, weekends, and holiday rotation.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for and assists physician in all procedures done in the Cardiovascular Lab.
• Other duties as assigned.
