About The Position

Provides proven and documented proficiency in all Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT procedures. Also, instructs and assists in development of new diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical staff, staff, students, interns, and patients. Acts as a resource for NM and PET/CT technical and assorted issues. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• SPECT imaging experience and basic knowledge of NRC/Agreement State requirements is required.
• Minimum three years of Nuclear Medicine experience is required.
• Graduate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology is required.
• Ability and demonstrated competence in IV insertion.
• Comprehensive knowledge of nuclear medicine exams including but not limited to techniques, principles, equipment, and rationale behind the procedures performed.
• Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-(N)Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT-N) certification is required within six months of hire.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within three months of hire / transfer date.

• Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology preferred.
