About The Position

This position is for a CT Technologist at Froedtert Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center. The role involves operating computed tomography (CT) and related equipment, performing CT studies according to specific guidelines and protocols, utilizing radiation protection measures, reviewing images, archiving patient data, and interacting with various personnel, patients, and visitors. The team is dynamic, highly skilled, and supportive, with a mix of experienced and newer technologists. The environment offers opportunities for knowledge building and skill development, with involvement in various scan types (outpatient, ED, inpatient, procedures, OR, portable) and collaborations with other departments and educational institutions.

Requirements

  • Post high school completion of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
  • ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology is required.
  • Current State of WI license as a Radiographer is required.
  • Advanced certification in CT required within 18 months of hire/transfer.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 1 year of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred.
  • Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year of current clinical experience.
  • 1-2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operates computed tomography (CT) and related equipment at the direction of a radiologist.
  • Performs CT studies according to specific guidelines, prescribed protocols, and utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures.
  • Reviews images and archives them with associated patient data.
  • Interacts with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
