MRI Technologist - Full Time Days

About The Position

Perform magnetic resonance procedures while demonstrating an understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, medical terminology and magnetic safety. The MR technologist relies on good communication skills to act as the primary liaison between the patient and the interpreting radiologist. The use of professional and ethical judgment and critical thinking allow the technologist to be a responsible member of the health care team.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Radiation Therapy, either hospital based or college degree program
  • Advanced training and certification in MRI required
  • Advanced registry/certification in MRI via the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • BLS required

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a staff technologist is preferred
  • Experience/certification/internship in MRI is preferred
  • If cross-trained or internship in MRI, and registry eligible, must have advanced registry/certification in MRI within six (6) months of completion of MRI training
  • Competency in components of radiography practice as appropriate
