Requirements

Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT or ARDMS program.
ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire date.
MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired. CNMT, ARDMS and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire date.
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required.
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
ARRT Certificate OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality MRI exams while maintaining clinical competency across all equipment and procedures
Review patient histories, physician orders, and apply appropriate protocols to achieve optimal imaging results
Prepare, administer, and label contrast materials according to department and safety guidelines
Accurately document patient information in the electronic health record
Communicate relevant clinical information to physicians prior to the exam
Ensure accurate coding, tracking, and image archiving within the RIS and ISITE systems
Uphold strict MR safety standards for patients, visitors, and staff
Perform weekly ACR Phantom testing to maintain high-quality imaging standards
