About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to join a leading healthcare facility in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with imaging protocols and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Active New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology
• ARRT Certification in MRI
• Current BCLS/Basic Life Support Certification

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of MRI physics, anatomy, physiology, and cross-sectional imaging techniques
• Experience working with PACS and radiology information systems

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI imaging procedures and ensure optimal diagnostic image quality
• Position patients and imaging equipment accurately for procedures
• Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, preparation, and safety guidelines
• Review and verify MRI safety screening questionnaires prior to imaging
• Label, process, and transmit images to PACS systems accurately
• Maintain accurate documentation within radiology information systems
• Ensure MRI suite cleanliness, safety, and equipment readiness
• Monitor MRI equipment functionality and report technical issues promptly
• Assist physicians and clinical staff during imaging procedures when required
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and departmental protocols
• Support scheduling and clerical functions as needed
