About The Position
Lumexa Imaging partner American Health Imaging is hiring a registered MRI Technologist for a full-time position at its Mount Pleasant, South Carolina outpatient imaging center. The technologist performs high-quality MRI scans while providing excellent customer care and service to patients. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. American Health Imaging combines advanced imaging technology with clinical expertise and a patient-first approach, delivering diagnostic imaging in a welcoming, compassionate outpatient environment. The role works with radiologists and clinical team members to provide quality care and service.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT registration with advanced MRI certification (ARRT-MR) required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- IV certification or skills required.
- Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI imaging principles.
- Excellent patient care and customer service skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Organization and effective time management skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and a flexible approach to patient care.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday while performing patient care duties.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as an MRI Technologist preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging.
- Apply knowledge of MRI safety, anatomy, and imaging techniques.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including IV administration when appropriate.
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical team members to deliver quality care and service.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory and quality standards.
- Assist with lifting, transferring, and positioning patients safely.
- Help patients onto and off the MRI table and into wheelchairs as needed.
