About The Position

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI studies following established protocols set by the Radiologists. This role involves operating the MRI scanner to produce high-quality images and ensuring a smooth patient experience throughout the scanning procedure.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of a non-degree program from an accredited AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program is required.
  • 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist is required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) MR certification is required within 2 years from date of hire.
  • Registered Technologist (R) - Required
  • Registered Technologist (MR) - Required
  • Basic Life Support certification - Required

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience in CT or MRI is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI studies according to established radiological protocols.
  • Operate MRI scanner to generate images of consistent, optimal quality.
  • Prepare the scan room and equipment appropriately for each procedure.
  • Position patients, coils, and equipment as needed for each scan.
  • Maintain clear communication with patients throughout the scanning process.
