About The Position

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI procedures in line with established protocols to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician. This role requires a deep understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, contrast agents, MRI safety, and medical terminology.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
  • Completed a Non-Degree Program from an approved AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program Required.
  • Relevant general experience in MRI technology is Required.
  • Registered Technologist (R) (MR) Required.
  • Basic Life Support certification Required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate positioning and execution of MRI techniques.
  • Prepare and administer contrast agents under the direction of a radiologist, adhering to state and federal guidelines.
  • Provide quality care in a safe environment for patients of all ages, from infants to adults.
  • Communicate effectively with patients while being sensitive to their physical, cultural, and emotional needs.
  • Conduct patient assessments, monitoring, and care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner.
  • Engage in continuing education to enhance patient care, public education, and technical competence.
  • Utilize independent, professional, and ethical judgment along with critical thinking in daily responsibilities.
