About The Position

The MRI Technologist performs a wide range of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures on patients of varying ages. This role involves completing all necessary tasks and responsibilities to manage patient care needs while the patient is in the Diagnostic Imaging Department for procedures. Additionally, the technologist assists in the development and monitoring of department-specific systems and coordinates activities to improve the quality of patient care within the Diagnostic Imaging Department.

Requirements

• Two (2) years' experience performing a wide variety of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) Radiography and ARRT MRI required (ARRT MRI to be completed with 1 year of hire).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified.
• Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technologist school.
• Training received for MRI in hospital setting.
• Possesses critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
• Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.
• Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a MRI Technologist.
• Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes.

Responsibilities

• Performs wide range of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, MRI procedures, on patients of varying ages.
• Completes all associated tasks and responsibilities necessary to manage patient care needs while patient is in Department for procedures.
• Assists in the development and the monitoring of department specific systems.
• Assists in the coordination of activities that improve the quality of patient care in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
