About The Position

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the MRI Technologist performs diagnostic MR exams using appropriate imaging equipment and techniques. The role follows Beaumont’s philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

The position is based at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak. It is a full-time day-shift position, scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with every third weekend worked.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program or a JRCNMT-accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• One year of relevant experience.
• Hold one of the specified required credentials upon hire: ARRT MRI, ARRT Radiation Therapist, ARRT Radiographer, ARRT Sonographer, ARDMS Sonographer, ARRT Nuclear Medicine Technologist, NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technologist, ARDMS Vascular Technologist, or ARDMS Musculoskeletal credential.
• Obtain ARRT MRI board registry certification or ARMRIT board registry certification within one year of hire.
• Hold Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of clinical experience beyond staff radiographer level.
• ARMRIT certification upon hire.
