Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. The MRI Technologist performs diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) exams, exercising professional judgment in procedures, MRI safety considerations, and providing quality patient care. This role involves interacting effectively with patients, their families, physicians, and other healthcare workers, and requires extensive knowledge of MRI equipment operation, patient positioning, and cross-section anatomy. The technologist will administer contrast material, obtain patient history and clinical indications, and accurately document in patient records using electronic medical record software for scheduling and billing. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with 8-hour day shifts, and notably, no weekends, holidays, or call are required for this specific department. However, for Sanford Rural Health Network Facility sites, job responsibilities may expand to include on-call rotation nights, weekends, and holidays, and may involve performing diagnostic radiology procedures, basic diagnostic radiology tasks, mobile imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures.
