About The Position

AdventHealth is seeking an MRI Technologist to join their team. This role involves ensuring exam rooms are clean and stocked, educating patients about MRI procedures, positioning patients for high-quality imaging, and administering IV contrast material. The position is part-time, with a schedule of Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 7p-11p and Sundays from 7a-7p, located at Port Orange Outpatient Imaging.

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)ARRT)) [Required] OR Registered MRI Technologist (ARMRIT) [Required]

Nice To Haves

Associate degree [Preferred]
1+ years experience in radiology and completion of MRI training program [Preferred]

Responsibilities

Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.
Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.
Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
