This role involves setting up and utilizing all MRI equipment, evaluating image quality, identifying and compensating for imaging artifacts, and ensuring safe access into the magnet room. The MRI Technologist will also assist in training new technologists and students, manage PACS data, retrieve old MRI data, and master new techniques with scanner upgrades. They will communicate pertinent patient information, receive training and guidance from senior technologists, and be responsible for scanning patients safely and efficiently, completing all associated paperwork and computer work, and providing post-MRI instructions.
