About The Position
MRI Technologists perform MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exams in the hospital, selecting software parameters according to established protocols to assist referring physicians in diagnosis. The role prepares and positions patients, injects contrast media, and accurately selects anatomic and technical parameters to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT), or graduate of the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) program with an Associate Degree focused on medical imaging, preferably MRI.
- ARRT certification in Radiography or ARRT MRI certification, or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI exams in the hospital according to established protocols.
- Select specific software parameters to assist referring physicians in diagnosis.
- Prepare and position patients for MRI exams.
- Inject patients with contrast media.
- Select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
