About The Position

Essen Health Care is hiring an MRI Technologist to operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment and produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes while providing a positive patient experience. The role also includes performing radiological procedures when not performing MRI duties, assisting with procedures, coordinating patient scheduling and flow, and supporting patient safety and comfort.

Requirements

Associate degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related field.
Appropriate state licensure.
Proven experience working as an X-ray/MRI technician.
Ability to move or lift patients.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Patient and compassionate disposition.

Responsibilities

Operate high-field-strength magnets and related equipment to produce radiographic images of specific body parts.
Position patients for MR scans using immobilization and protective equipment in accordance with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Screen patients for MR safety before performing procedures.
Assist the radiologist with procedure performance.
Perform radiological procedures when not performing MRI duties.
Evaluate MR scans for technical quality; collate processed images and exposure sequences, and label them appropriately.
Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical functions.
Maintain accurate patient records.
Provide education and training for new-hire technologists.
Address patients’ psychological and physical needs during MR procedures.
Coordinate scheduling and patient flow.
