About The Position

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for completing all steps involved with MRI exams, including documenting patient history, technical information, contrast details, and IV injection information. This role also involves scanning paperwork into the system and consistently adhering to MRI safety policies for both staff and patients. The technologist must follow patient identification policies, including labeling syringes with date, time, contrast, and initials, and adhere to all policies regarding the use of ISTAT. A key responsibility is demonstrating knowledge of MR department procedures and protocols by setting acquisition factors for optimal image quality, evaluating images, and accurately following physician instructions.

Requirements

Minimum of Associates degree, Radiologic Sciences program.
ARRT Certification in MRI.
ARRT credentials for Diagnostic Imaging and NYS license.
Must receive the enhanced NYS license for injection, on or before completion of introductory period.

Responsibilities

Completes all steps involved with the exams including Documentation of Patient History, Tech Info, Contrast Info, and IV Injection info. And scanning paperwork packs into the system.
Follow all MRI safety policies consistently for staff and patients.
Consistently follow patient identification policy: Labeling syringes when loading with date, time, contrast, and initials. Follow all P+P regarding use of ISTAT (Per sites worked)
Demonstrate knowledge of MR department procedures and protocols by setting acquisition factors for optimal image quality, evaluating images for quality, and accurately following physicians instructions.
