About The Position

Fairfax Radiology Centers is seeking an MRI Technologist for their outpatient MRI center in Fairfax, VA. This full-time position involves working 12-hour shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, utilizing advanced GE 1.5T and 3T MRI systems. The role focuses on delivering high-quality imaging and patient care in a calm, patient-centered environment, distinct from a hospital setting. The position offers a predictable weekend schedule with four days off, no holidays, and no on-call duties. Opportunities for skill expansion in areas like cardiac MRI, breast imaging, and research studies are available. Requirements

6+ months of MRI experience or completion of an MRI training program.
ARRT (R) or MRI certification, or ARMRIT certification.
BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

Experience in outpatient imaging environments.
Familiarity with PACS/RIS systems.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and specialty MRI exams, including breast imaging.
Deliver high-quality imaging with strong attention to patient safety and comfort.
Operate GE 1.5T and 3T MRI systems.
Follow MRI safety protocols and ensure accurate documentation in PACS/RIS.
Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to deliver timely diagnostic imaging.
Support patients through exams with clear communication and reassurance.
Independently perform routine MRI exams with confidence and accuracy.
Produce consistently high-quality images requiring minimal repeats.
Deliver a calm, supportive patient experience in every interaction.
Adapt to GE MRI systems (if coming from another platform).
Integrate into a collaborative, fast-moving outpatient imaging team.
