About The Position

Corewell Health is offering up to a $20000 sign-on bonus to external hires and internal new grads currently in a student role. Corewell Health Hospital Trenton is a 193-bed acute care teaching hospital that sponsors nine university-affiliated residency programs. The hospital opened its doors to Trenton and its surrounding communities in 1961 and became part of Corewell Health in September 2014. It provides comprehensive medical and surgical care, all private beds, a medical and surgical intensive care unit, and obstetrical care. The MRI Technologist performs diagnostic MR exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment and techniques under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, following the Beaumont philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
  • 1-3 years clinical experience beyond staff radiographer level.
  • Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, RT (R) (MR).
  • Additional MR certification (CRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Board Registry or CRT-American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (MRI) - ARMRIT American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists Board Registry) required within 1 year of hire.
  • Must remain in good standing with the ARRT.
  • Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the American Heart Association.
  • Compliance with drug-free workplace policy.
  • Compliance with MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement if in an on-site or hybrid workplace category.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic MR exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment and techniques.
  • Follows Beaumont philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.
