About The Position

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital, established in 1955, is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. It hosts 43 residency and fellowship programs and is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. The MRI Technologist performs diagnostic MR exams under general supervision, adhering to established policies and procedures, and utilizing appropriate imaging equipment and techniques. The role also requires adherence to the Beaumont philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent.
  • Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
  • 1-3 years clinical experience beyond staff radiographer level.
  • Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the American Heart Association.
  • One of the following certifications upon hire: CRT-American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (MRI) - ARMRIT, OR CRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) - ARRT, OR CRT-Radiation Therapist - ARRT, OR CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT, OR CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARRT, OR CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARDMS, OR CRT-Nuc Med Technologist (N) - ARRT, OR CRT-Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB, OR CRT-Vascular Technologist (VT) - ARDMS, OR CRT-Musculoskeletal (MSK) - ARDMS.
  • One of the following board registries required within 1 Year: CRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) - ARRT, OR CRT-American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (MRI) - ARMRIT.
  • Comply with drug-free workplace policy.
  • Comply with MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement if in an on-site or hybrid workplace category.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic MR exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment and techniques.
  • Follow Beaumont philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.
