About The Position

The MRI Technologist specializes in magnetic resonance imaging scanners and performs high-quality MRI examinations for patients from neonates through geriatrics for physician interpretation. The role uses MRI resources and may involve injecting patients with contrast media to help produce diagnostic images. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. This is a PRN position with variable shifts as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• 0–2 years of modality-specific work experience required.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• ARRT MRI registration is required within one year.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, either AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers (or an AHA-recognized equivalent) or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations across the patient population, from neonates through geriatrics, for physician interpretation.
• Use MRI scanners and related resources to produce diagnostic images.
• Inject patients with contrast media when needed for imaging.
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
