About The Position

The MRI Technologist performs diagnostic MR examinations under general supervision, following established policies and procedures and using appropriate imaging equipment and techniques. The technologist follows the Beaumont philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

This is a casual, part-time position at Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital, a 305-bed teaching facility with Level II trauma status. The schedule has variable shifts and days, with weekend work every fourth weekend.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program or a JRCNMT-accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• One year of relevant experience.
• Hold one of the listed qualifying imaging credentials upon hire: ARMRIT MRI certification (preferred); ARRT MRI certification; ARRT Radiation Therapist, Radiographer, Sonographer, or Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification; ARDMS Sonographer, Vascular Technologist, or Musculoskeletal certification; or NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification.
• Obtain ARRT MRI or ARMRIT board registry certification within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of clinical experience beyond staff radiographer level.
• ARMRIT MRI certification upon hire.
