Per Diems shall be required to work 1 major and 2 minor holidays per year & 4 weekend days (Saturday or Sunday) per 3 month period of time. A weekend is defined as a Saturday or Sunday. Major and Minor Holidays are defined as: major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day) and two (2) other holidays throughout the year if and as needed by the Medial Center.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
Required Licensed in Radiologic Technology by New York State.
ARRT, RT (R)(MR) or Required ARRT-RT and completion of ARRT verified MRI training program with documented completion of didactic and clinical competency.
Must obtain MRI Registry (ARRT-MR) within 18 months of hire
NYS DOH Injection license preferred, required within 90 days from date of hire.
Must have active and ongoing BLS.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee is also frequently required to talk and/or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to sit.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Works inside.
Can be exposed to disagreeable odors, and infection.
Contact with patients, physicians, department employees, and hospital departments, such as nursing.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks.
Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment.
Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks.
Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility.
Ability to multi-task.
Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled.
Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations.
May be subject to irregular hours including evenings or potentially weekends to participate in operational and community events as necessary.

Responsibilities

Responsible for performance of all patient MRI imaging procedures and all patient safety protocols.
Functions as the first line interface with customer accounts in the successful accomplishments of their imaging needs.
