MRI Technologist II - Weekender - Mid/Evenings
About The Position
The MRI Technologist II operates MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic images for physicians to use in diagnosing and treating pathologies, following radiologist directions and established procedures. The technologist positions patients, administers contrast media injections, and manipulates images to ensure high-quality examinations. The role also requires attentive customer service, including appropriate eye contact, facial and body expressions, and tone of voice. The technologist explains procedures and gives patients an opportunity to ask questions to help reduce anxiety and promote trust. This is a part-time weekender position at Edward Hospital in Naperville, Illinois, with floating to 95th Street in Naperville. The schedule is 20 hours weekly, with weekend shifts listed as 1200–2030 to 1430–2300, and on-call duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
- Current CPR certification (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems related to software.
Nice To Haves
- An associate degree or higher.
- IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure.
- Prior MRI experience or other radiology experience.
