About The Position
Operates MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, according to Radiologist's directions and established procedures. Positions patients, administers injections of contrast media and manipulates images to ensure a high-quality exam. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT(MR) (American Registry of Radiological Technology), or ARMRIT (American Registry of MRI Technologists) certification
- Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to troubleshoot problems, as related to software
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of an Associate’s Degree or higher, preferred
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, preferred
- IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure, preferred
