About The Position

We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT
- Hold one of the following credentials in good standing:
- ARMRIT Registered MRI Technologist
- ARRT Registered Technologist in Radiography, Sonography, Radiation Therapy or Nuclear Medicine: R.T.(R), R.T.(S), R.T.(T) or R.T.(N)
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (ARDMS and NMTCB are primary pathways)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certification
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes
Nice To Haves
- One year experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalities
Responsibilities
- Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart and data/requisition to determine contraindication of MRI examination.
- Perform MRI procedures required per protocol and perform daily QA.
- Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment, and exams.
- Ensure patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam.
- Report any malfunctions and observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems or calls for service.
- Maintain available equipment up-time at the highest level for patient accessibility.
- Instruct and mentor new hires and Radiology students.
- Attend in-service programs and professional affiliation sessions.
- Obtain a certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) within one year of hire if not already credentialed
