MRI Technologist I
About The Position
At MercyOne Genesis, the MRI Technologist I performs magnetic resonance exams and procedures under the medical direction of a radiologist. The work is performed under limited supervision in a highly technical and professional manner. The position is scheduled for 36 hours per week, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call duty. A jumpstart option provides monthly financial support while the candidate finishes their final semester of school. MercyOne will reimburse board and licensure fees; after obtaining licensure, the candidate can begin their career with MercyOne, subject to a retention requirement based on the position.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited two-year Imaging Technology program (ARRT) or ARMRIT certification.
- Maintain active registry status.
- Complete Iowa Department of Health and Human Services Mandatory Reporter training specific to the population served within three months of hire.
- Maintain Basic Life Support qualification.
Nice To Haves
- Previous MR experience preferred.
- MR credential (ARRT or AMRIT) preferred.
