About The Position
We are seeking a certified MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures in an acute care hospital setting. The MRI Tech will operate MRI equipment, prepare and position patients, and produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation across a range of clinical indications.
Requirements
- ARRT certification in MRI (MR) required
- Active state licensure or eligibility in New York
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience in a clinical setting
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility — local candidates will not be considered
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex MRI examinations per physician orders and departmental protocols
- Screen and prepare patients for MRI procedures including reviewing contraindications and obtaining informed consent
- Operate and maintain MRI equipment in compliance with safety and quality standards
- Administer contrast agents under physician supervision as required
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure diagnostic quality images
