About The Position
We are seeking a Lead MRI Technician to perform MRI scans on patients as requested by physicians. This role requires utilizing knowledge of anatomy and physiology to ensure accurate imaging, collaborating with radiologists for diagnostic evaluations, and maintaining equipment. The ideal candidate will provide excellent patient care and comfort throughout the imaging process.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an MRI Technologist or in a similar role
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes
- Certification in MRI Technology or Radiologic Technology
- Minimum 3 years inpatient and outpatient MRI experience
- Experience in staff selection, coaching, scheduling, payroll/timekeeping, and budgeting
- Must be registered within 6 months of hire (ARRT) or 12 months (ARMRIT)
- Demonstrated ability to operate MRI scanners safely and competently, follow scanning protocols, and adjust protocols as needed
- Experience with patient safety screening for contraindications (e.g., pacemakers, metal implants)
- Proficiency in PACS and Meditech systems for image review, verification, and documentation
