About The Position

Coordinates and/or performs MRI exams. Performs procedures using MRI equipment and coordinates patient care for MRI services under the supervision of a physician. Completes MRI exams according to prescribed exam protocols and durations, reviews patient histories and clinical indications, and consults with the Radiologist when necessary. Assists patients on and off the table as needed, explains the process, and helps patients relax. Uses appropriate safety procedures and communicates with providers and support staff to facilitate departmental operations. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces safety measures, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and OSHA regulations.
• BLS/CPR certification; Basic Cardiac Life Support is listed as an education and certification requirement.
• Must be a registered MRI technologist or registry eligible.
• Arrive at work on time in professional attire and complete tasks within established time frames.
• Adhere to clinic policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate adaptability to expanded roles.
