Requirements

  • Graduate of a program in discipline.
  • ARRT R.T. (R) required.
  • AZ MRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • ARRT R.T. (MR) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards.
  • Review patient history and physician’s orders.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation.
  • When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice.
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies.
  • Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Position patient and perform imaging procedure(s).
  • Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results.
  • Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedures.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
