About The Position

Under the direction of the Chief Technologist, the Technician CT/MRI performs necessary sophisticated imaging studies at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. This role involves a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis. The technician assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required, provides a leadership role for staff technologists, assigns work to staff technologists, and is generally responsible for traffic control in the technical area.

Requirements

• Associates degree required
• Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training that meets the requirements for certification by the ARRT.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist- licensed & injection certified by the state of New York.
• IV contrast certified required.
• AART certified required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors degree preferred.
• IV insertion experience preferred.
• Experience in Cardiac CT scans preferred.
