Ellis Medicine is seeking an MRI Radiology Technologist to utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the principles of MRI to safely and efficiently operate MRI scanners, assisting in the diagnosis of disease and injury. The role involves ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors within the MRI Department ZONES and around the powerful magnetic field of an MRI scanner. Responsibilities include screening patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, providing emotional support to anxious patients, positioning patients, guiding and monitoring patients during scans, tracking and verifying studies, completing paperwork, monitoring PACS for problem studies, and documenting necessary information on requisitions. The technologist must stay up-to-date with MRI protocols, be willing to rotate shifts, work weekends as scheduled or needed, recognize and respond to life-threatening situations, and act as a team player, assisting in the education of other medical professionals and new staff.
