About The Position

The MRF Operator is responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment at the facility. The position reports to the Site Supervisor. The operator performs equipment inspections, monitors equipment performance and incoming materials, follows safety procedures, maintains a clean machine and cab, and maximizes truck load weights in accordance with DOT regulations.

Requirements

• No specific prior qualifications are required.
• Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate, understand and respond to questions and directions, read traffic signs and signals, and understand safety training.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections according to company standards, ensuring fluid levels are proper and safety devices function properly.
• Continuously monitor equipment performance and report needed repairs to the maintenance department.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Keep the machine and cab clean.
• Monitor incoming materials and report unacceptable waste to management.
• Maximize truck load weights in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
