About The Position

The Mozzarella Maker Associate is responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality mozzarella products with care and consistency, adhering to all food safety guidelines, and providing attentive, friendly service to meet customer needs and expectations.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Willingness to learn how to correctly make mozzarella and shape it to its correct form
Present excellent customer service skills to all out customers
Willingness to work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managers
Exhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams’ products and quality
Ability to demonstrate and set the example for Adams’ culture and values
Safely use appropriate knives, tools and/or equipment to successfully operate the department
Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to remain in a stationary position for duration of shift
Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift
Communicate with others to exchange information
Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks including in tight and confined spaces

Responsibilities

Ensure customers receive the best service by being friendly, polite, and knowledgeable.
Greet customers personally and thank them for shopping at Adams.
Follow health and safe food handling procedures, and complete daily/weekly cleaning tasks.
Rotate products regularly and remove out-of-code items from cases.
Hand wrap, package, label, weigh, and price cheese products.
Provide prompt, friendly customer assistance at all times.
If assigned, cut and form curds into specified sizes and shapes.
