Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal & written
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in landscape maintenance, including mowing and mowing-related tasks
  • Previous supervisory experience leading a team in a landscaping or property maintenance setting
  • Valid driver’s license and own transportation, and comfortable driving a truck and trailer
  • Experience with snow removal, including plowing, salting, and winter maintenance
  • Proven experience leading landscaping crews, specifically in mowing and property maintenance
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable operating and maintaining landscaping equipment
  • Ability to work long hours during peak mowing and winter seasons
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols in both landscaping and snow removal
  • Trustworthy so that you can take on tasks and projects within your team with limited supervision.
  • Able to solve problems and willing to make a decision even if it’s a mistake.
  • Take pride in your work day-in and day-out.
  • Willing to work outside of your everyday tasks and responsibilities when the team needs you.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a heavy equipment mower, working closely with other crew leaders and ensuring quality lawn maintenance services are delivered across multiple sites.
  • Lead a snow removal route during winter, requiring experience in plowing and winter maintenance operations.
  • Work with and support all mowing crews, ensuring efficiency and high-quality work.
  • Train and develop team members on best mowing and maintenance practices.
  • Ensure safe and effective use of mowing equipment and proper maintenance.
  • Schedule and assign daily tasks to crews, track progress, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Oversee quality control for all mowing and maintenance work performed.
  • Communicate with customers, clients, and management.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed and enforced.
  • Manage preventative maintenance of equipment and ensure readiness for work.
  • Respond to emails and inquiries related to maintenance projects.
  • Manage time tracking, reporting, and administrative duties.
  • Lead a designated snow removal route, including plowing, salting, and site maintenance.
  • Operate plow trucks, loaders, and other snow removal equipment.
  • Ensure timely and efficient snow clearing operations during storms.
  • Train and oversee team members involved in snow removal operations.
