This is a part-time position where the employee works under the direct supervision of an assigned supervisor. The role involves performing various types of general labor and manual work in maintaining city facilities and properties. This includes operating equipment such as riding mowers, hand/power tools, and herbicide spray equipment. The position also requires operating and performing preventative maintenance on tractors, 2-ton dump trucks, commercial zero-turn mowers, bush hog mowers, side boom mowers, rough mowers, and other riding mowers. Daily tasks include mowing, trimming, planting, watering, spraying, fertilizing, aerating, digging, and raking as needed. The crewperson is also responsible for picking up trash and tree limbs on city properties and reporting any necessary repairs or maintenance for properties, buildings, and equipment to their supervisor.
