About The Position

MUSC Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Neurologist with training or a strong clinical interest in Movement Disorders to join its neurosciences team serving Bluffton and Beaufort, South Carolina. The position is supported by the Medical University of South Carolina, with practice locations in Beaufort near Beaufort Memorial Hospital and in a new, state-of-the-art Medical Office Building in Bluffton.

This is an outpatient-focused practice with minimal inpatient rounding and no call responsibilities; call is covered by Telestroke services. The physician will have full clinical support staff, with future APP support, strong patient demand, and the opportunity to ramp up quickly. The role is academically connected to the Medical University of South Carolina and uses Epic EHR, physician-centered optimization and support, and AI-enabled documentation and workflow tools.

MUSC’s Department of Neurology offers broad subspecialty programs and is nationally recognized for neurological care. Its programs include South Carolina’s Level 4 Epilepsy Center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, a Parkinson’s Foundation Center of Excellence, the state’s first MDA Care Center, an ALS Association Certified Treatment Center of Excellence, and a newly renovated Outpatient Memory Care Center.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
• Training in Movement Disorders or a strong clinical interest in Movement Disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient neurological care with a focus on Movement Disorders in Bluffton and Beaufort, South Carolina.
• Provide minimal inpatient rounding as part of the practice.
• Use Epic EHR and available AI-enabled documentation and workflow tools to support clinical care and decision-making.
