About The Position

The GoodLife Kids Foundation (GLKF) is seeking a MOVE Coach to deliver exceptional fitness programming for the MOVE by GoodLife Kids program, which supports youth aged 12-21 with autism and intellectual disabilities. This is an in-person role launching in October 2026, to be delivered at a GoodLife Fitness Club in Toronto. The MOVE program aims to enable and support kids and youth with autism and intellectual disabilities through physical activity and fitness, fostering a vision where all such individuals can experience the joys and benefits of being active. The MOVE Coach will play a vital role in the continued development of this national program, providing input and recommendations based on participant needs and collaborating with a coaching team. GLKF will provide training on supporting youth with disabilities.

Requirements

  • Passion for working with youth with disabilities.
  • Experience delivering fitness classes.
  • Able to deliver in-person classes.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Must have or being willing to obtain a current nationally recognized Group Fitness /Coaching certification such as Fitness Instructor Specialist (FIS)/Personal Training Specialist (PTS).
  • Must have a current CPR-A certification.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with Participants and MOVE Community Partners.
  • Access to reliable internet connection that supports uninterrupted video conferencing.
  • A proactive, flexible, and adaptable mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver an exceptional fitness program for youth with autism and intellectual disabilities through coaching, instruction and facilitation to ensure a positive and impactful experience for all.
  • Collaborate with other MOVE Coaches and Supervisors when discovering best practices.
  • Create and develop workout plans that meet programming guidelines of MOVE by GoodLife Kids to support the needs of the Participants.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with MOVE Participants and our Community Partners.
  • Respond to MOVE Participants and Caregiver feedback and concerns.
  • Primarily lead in-person classes with the opportunity to be involved with our virtual programming as needed.
  • Represent GoodLife Kids Foundation in a professional, positive, caring, and friendly manner.
