About The Position

The GoodLife Kids Foundation (GLKF) is seeking a MOVE Coach to deliver exceptional fitness programming for the MOVE by GoodLife Kids program. This program is a free physical activity and fitness initiative for youth aged 12-21 with autism and intellectual disabilities. The MOVE Coach will be responsible for coaching and delivering adaptive and progressive workouts, contributing to the development of a national program, and providing input on program effectiveness. GLKF will provide training to support youth with disabilities. This specific role is for an in-person class launching in October 2026, to be held at a GoodLife Fitness Club in Brampton.

Requirements

  • Passion for working with youth with disabilities.
  • Experience delivering fitness classes.
  • Able to deliver in-person classes.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a current nationally recognized Group Fitness /Coaching certification such as Fitness Instructor Specialist (FIS)/Personal Training Specialist (PTS).
  • Must have a current CPR-A certification.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with Participants and MOVE Community Partners.
  • Access to reliable internet connection that supports uninterrupted video conferencing.
  • A proactive, flexible, and adaptable mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Availability to substitute coach the following class: Sunday: 11:45-1:15pm.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver an exceptional fitness program for youth with autism and intellectual disabilities through coaching, instruction, and facilitation to ensure a positive and impactful experience for all.
  • Collaborate with other MOVE Coaches and Supervisors to discover best practices.
  • Create and develop workout plans that meet programming guidelines of MOVE by GoodLife Kids to support the needs of the Participants.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with MOVE Participants and Community Partners.
  • Respond to MOVE Participants and Caregiver feedback and concerns.
  • Primarily lead in-person classes with the opportunity to be involved with virtual programming as needed.
  • Represent GoodLife Kids Foundation in a professional, positive, caring, and friendly manner.

Benefits

  • Training on how to support youth with disabilities.
  • Compensation: Base wage of $35.00 for class hours and $17.60 for administration hours.
  • Expected annual total compensation of $5,700.
