About The Position

Mount Pleasant Academy (MPA) is seeking a Director to provide supervision, support, and guidance to all MPA staff. This role involves emergency crisis intervention, supervision of clinical and administrative documentation, and oversight of all services provided to MPA clients and their families. The Director will also supervise the overall therapeutic milieu of the program and ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in human services (psychology, social work, marriage/family, etc.) required.
  • LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or doctorate in the field of psychology/behavioral health required.
  • 10+ years prior clinical supervisory experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years experience working in a day or inpatient children’s psychiatric hospital, or 7 years experience in a special education setting required.
  • 5+ years experience running/supervising an independent program/agency/facility required.
  • Significant experience with program budgeting, fundraising, and grant-writing.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and auto insurance also required.
  • Ability to travel to and from clients’ residence, community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to participate in physical crisis intervention with students as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a positive behavioral role model for colleagues and clients.
  • Review all program referrals and determine appropriateness of admission.
  • Supervise the services provided by all team members.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of all treatment interventions.
  • Meet or exceed Agency productivity expectations.
  • Ensure staff maintain professional and accurate documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome evaluative tools, and provide education in these areas as needed.
  • Complete administrative documentation (time sheets, service activity logs, etc.) in a timely manner.
  • Supervise all staff members' productivity levels, time sheets, work quality, and ability to meet timelines.
  • Oversee the performance evaluation process of all MPA and related employees.
  • Build and maintain positive, working relationships with community organizations, school departments, and providers.
  • Provide clinical services to students and families as needed.
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision as required.
  • Develop new program services and revenue streams.
  • Assess and recommend/develop new programs and services related to the mission of MPA.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
