About The Position

The Center for Collaborative Conservation (CCC) in the Warner College of Natural Resources is seeking a full-time Project Manager for its work on the Mountain Pine Beetle Taskforce (MPB TF). The Project Manager will support CCC staff with a variety of project management, coordination, facilitation, and logistics tasks, including on-going engagement with Task Force working groups. They will also be supervising a part-time Assistant Coordinator who will be assisting them with event planning and logistics support. This position is funded through December 2027, and has the potential to be extended further depending on whether additional financial support is secured and CCC’s other fee-for-service project workload.

Requirements

  • Masters level education in conservation leadership, communication, political science, or similar.
  • Previous project management experience for complex projects and collaborative coordination experience.
  • Experience with event planning and logistics.
  • Previous work with mutually-supportive teams.
  • Demonstrates commitment to operating professionally, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite, online scheduling tools, and digital platforms that support collaboration such as Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. by the proposed start date.
  • Must be able to travel within Colorado for in-person meetings and events.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines with short turnaround times for a fast-paced project.
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings and early mornings for events.
  • Must be committed to operating professionally, and ensuring confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Project management of the CCC’s part of the MPB TF work, inclusive of: monitoring and keeping project timelines on track; coordinating with CCC facilitators to prepare necessary materials for meetings and to ensure that facilitation plans are supported ; attending logistics meetings to keep meeting notes, and capture action items; organizing documents, and shared folders; support in the development of necessary documentation; developing agendas, eliciting feedback from key team members, and ensuring that they are posted appropriately; scheduling of all MPB TF meetings.
  • Supporting MBP TF working group leads to ensure sustained focus and productivity, by building and maintaining relationships, participating in the creation of effective agendas, ensuring clarity of meeting outcomes, including between-meeting action items and clarity of purpose for upcoming meetings.
  • Serving as a key communications touch-point for MPB TF at the CCC, directing inquiries, providing information on meetings where appropriate, and assisting taskforce members.
  • Assisting with facilitation at MPB TF meetings.
  • Working closely with Assistant Director for Forest Health and Wildfire Mitigation to develop and maintain efficient processes for getting necessary materials to DNR to maintain momentum on taskforce outcomes and deliverables.
  • Supervise the Assistant Coordinator of the MPB TF.
