Under the general supervision of the District Maintenance Supervisor, this role performs routine maintenance checks and operates a variety of vehicles such as snowplows, trucks, tractors, mowers, and spreaders. Responsibilities include performing repairs on roadways, pavement, guardrails, sewers, bridges, and shoulders, as well as maintaining, cleaning, removing, and disposing of debris and other obstructions. The role also involves snow and ice removal using a snowplow and road deicer, operating tractor mowers and other equipment for grass and weed cutting within County rights-of-way, and performing tree and brush removal using chain saws, chippers, and various hand tools. Additionally, the position requires manually loading and unloading vehicles with materials and equipment, maintaining and storing equipment, and performing other duties as required. This position is considered safety-sensitive and requires successful completion of a drug test as part of the pre-employment background check.
