About The Position

Redefine Healthcare is seeking a dedicated, full-time Motor Vehicle Accident Coordinator for its Paterson or Matawan office. The coordinator will manage motor vehicle accident patient intakes, coordinate legal requests, maintain patient records, and submit required documents on time while following HIPAA guidelines and supporting departmental needs. This role calls for strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in a related health field or surgical coordinator role.
• Proficiency in an EMR system.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with medical professionals, patients, and families.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or higher in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Handle motor vehicle accident patient intakes and schedule them appropriately.
• Manage legal requests, including medical records, narratives, and depositions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Submit required documents to insurance.
• Complete and submit work in a timely manner.
• Follow up on requests.
• Review patient medical histories and insurance coverage for approval.
• Contact physicians and/or attorneys for additional information as needed.
• Monitor schedules for potential issues.
• Assist with other clerical tasks as needed.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines when handling patient records.
• Complete ad hoc projects or tasks as they arise.
• Communicate scheduling conflicts and patient requests to the supervisor or doctor.
